Learning english, learning life

I always wanted to learn English, and the UK had been on my list for as long as I can remember. My dad has a deep love for British culture, something I’ve inherited, in my own way. I first spent a few months in Manchester, doing internships to finish my degree in International Relations, which I studied in Madrid. I completely fell in love with the city. I knew I had to come back.

London was my next stop. I moved down with a job and a place to live, ready to start over. My English was still quite poor and I had to learn the language through everyday life – small daily actions, conversations, mistakes. But London is one of the best cities in the world for a young person who wants to grow.

There are opportunities everywhere if you’re willing to look and take a few risks.
I already had an open mind when I arrived, but London took it even further. This city makes you feel unstoppable. And if you’re the kind of person with willpower – someone who takes action, isn’t afraid to try and trusts life as it comes – you’ll find your way here. Believe in yourself. Make your priorities count. Sometimes, we have to lose a little to truly win.
